Google’s Sundar Pichai committed $150M in AI education grants (part of a broader $1B spend).

IBM CEO Arvind Krishna promised to train 2M U.S. workers in AI over 3 years.

Code.org pledged to reach 25M learners with new AI courses.

Melania leaned into parental metaphors (“treat AI like our children”) while cabinet members linked AI education to national security, rural America, and the energy grid.

Trump officials also used the stage to hammer “America First” AI themes, including anti-‘woke’ AI directives.

  • Scale: Code.org aims to reach 25M students, teachers, and parents.

  • Politics: Trump officials frame AI as patriotic duty, not just tech policy.

Why it Bites: The pledges are big. Big dollars. Big programs.

But the framing matters too:
AI education is being wrapped in nationalism and anti-“woke” rhetoric.

Seems to be a bit more than just “teaching AI”.

Arguably, it’s a culture war entering the classroom.

🤝 Atlassian Buys Arc Maker For $610M, Bets On Dia

The Bite: Atlassian will acquire The Browser Company for $610 million in cash.

The team says Dia, its new browser, keeps building under Atlassian while operating independently.

Arc’s development had already stopped.

The deal is announced and is expected to close in Q2 of 2026.

It’s an interesting move by the software giant as the AI-first browser wave, or as I’m calling it: The Great Browser Wars of 2025, is beginning to get crowded.

All the big players are either already in the ring, or announced they’re working on an AI first browser (or extension if you’re Anthropic).
