A groundbreaking new study by scientists at Klick Labs has revealed that AI can accurately determine if a person has Type 2 diabetes by analyzing 10 seconds of their voice!

You see, there are 240 million adults living with diabetes worldwide who don’t even know it, and nearly 90% of diabetic cases are Type 2 diabetes, according to the International Diabetes Federation.

For years, the conventional approach to detecting Type 2 diabetes involved painful blood tests.

However, the latest study from Klick Labs offers a promising alternative.

They asked 267 participants, both with and without Type 2 diabetes, to record a specific phrase on their smartphones multiple times each day for two weeks.

The researchers then used AI and voice analysis technology to examine the collected voice recordings.

They looked for subtle vocal features, like changes in pitch and intensity, that are not easily detectable by the human ear.

These vocal features were found to differ between individuals with Type 2 diabetes and those without the condition, with an 89% accuracy for women and 86% for men.

Beyond Type 2 diabetes, this study hints at the broader application of voice analysis technology in healthcare, potentially transforming the way we screen for various health conditions.
