Are they the corporate Avengers entrusted to protect the world or on the path to accidentally create Ultron?

In theory, a group of good guys is exactly what we need to make sure humankind remains safe and reaps the rewards of AI advancement.

However, are they in it for protection of people… or profit margins? 🤑

According to Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, generative artificial intelligence technology like ChatGPT will undoubtedly improve productivity for workers.

However, this upgrade comes with a heavy price: some individuals will lose their jobs in the process. 

“Oh, wow, another story about how robots are going to take my job.”

Relax, dear reader - I’ve got something else in mind.

Lemme take you back to the dawn of online shopping…

In the early days of Amazon, Jeff Bezos was looking to gain an edge in the online industry.

And what better way to do so than to lure top executives away from Wal-Mart to help build his empire.

Online shopping was the next big thing.

Jeff knew it. Wal-Mart knew. Everyone knew it.

So… how did Wal-Mart respond?

They spent the majority of their time and money trying to bury Amazon in legal fees, so they could never recover.

How did it play out?

Wal-Mart got so caught up in fighting the competition that they fell behind and failed to innovate even though they clearly had the resources to do so. And Amazon became the company we all know today.

The lesson to be learned?

Don’t get so caught up in the doom and gloom that you fail to stay relevant in what you’re best at.

You can fight AI all you want, but there’s no stopping it.

It’s the next big thing.
