Figma Relaunches AI-Powered App Generator

Figma has reintroduced its AI-powered design tool, now called "First Draft," after pulling it earlier this year for accidentally generating designs too similar to Apple’s iPhone weather app.

First Draft helps designers create website and app layouts by selecting design elements based on input prompts. Figma has added more flexible libraries for wireframing and high-fidelity designs, and clarified that the AI models, like OpenAI’s GPT-4, aren’t trained on customer data.

The tool is currently in limited beta, with additional features like text generation also available.
