ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode Now Available on the Web 🗣️

You can now talk to ChatGPT right from your browser (or desktop app). OpenAI just added its Advanced Voice Mode it’s web and pc applications (originally only available on phones). Now you can have real-time conversations with ChatGPT.

You’ll need to be a subscriber to Plus or another paid subscription tier in order to try it though. You can pick from nine different voice options, like the chill “Arbor” or upbeat “Ember.” It even adjusts to your talking speed and emotion.

Free users can get a preview soon, and paying users have daily limits on how much they can chat.

Google Lens just got a major upgrade to make shopping in stores smarter.

Now, you can snap a picture of any product, like the toy your kid is screaming at you to buy or the beauty item your mom said would make you look 5 years younger, and compare prices, check local inventory, and read reviews. Powered by Google’s Shopping Graph and Gemini models, this new feature currently works with retailers like Target, Macy’s, and Nordstrom. It’s live on the Google and Chrome apps for Android and iOS in the U.S.

Google is also rolling out a Maps update to search for in-stock products nearby and adding more "buy now, pay later" options to Google Pay, like Afterpay.
