1. Spreading Beneficial Technology

2. Harmonizing Regulation

3. Ensuring Safe Development & Use

4. Managing Geopolitical Risk

And out of those four functions, “ensuring safe development and use,” came out as the top priority.

Efforts are now underway to develop an institution that will identify and monitor potential harms arising from AI applications, so we won’t have to fight off T-800s.
