Microsoft Announces Another Paid Service

CoPilot's new premium subscription ($20/mo) offers advanced features like AI assistance in Office apps (Word, Excel, etc.), priority access to the latest AI models, and building your own customized AI assistant.

It was born out of demand from both creatives and small business owners who wanted the best of the best AI features readily available in a convenient package.

So Microsoft did what Mircosoft does & released a paid program Copilot Pro:

Making Music With A… MAGNeT?

MAGNeT, Meta's latest creation, is a text-to-audio tool that can generate music, sound effects, and even everyday noises without needing instruments, sheet music, or ego-driven DJs.

What makes MAGNeT noteworthy is how it processes inputs -  it uses a technique called non-autoregressive prediction, which means it can guess what part of songs are missing.

During its training phase, MAGNeT focuses on predicting spans of masked tokens (aka songs with audio chunks missing), sourced from a specialized masking scheduler. Then, MAGNeT gradually constructs the output sequence over several decoding steps.

MAGNeT also explores uncharted territory with its hybrid version, blending autoregressive and non-autoregressive models. Meaning, it first creates a song from scratch in a traditional manner {the autoregressive part), and switches to a super-fast method of filling in music (the non-autoregressive part).

What's really cool about MAGNeT is how well it works for turning text into music or other audio. When people tested it, they found that not only does it make good quality audio, but it also does it super fast – seven times faster than older methods.
