Elon sues again and AI music gives coma victim his voice back.

Good morning. Good morning. Elon Musk woke up and chose litigation again.

Must be Wednesday…

Let’s dig in. 👇

AI Music
🎙️ The Future of Music Isn’t Fake Drake. It’s This.

The Bite: Lucas Horne, aka The BTO Kid, spent four months in a coma after a brain bleed at 17.

Years later, he found his speaking voice flat and monotone, nothing like the music he heard in his head.

With AI, he rebuilt that voice, recorded the songs he’d been writing, and now he’s shortlisted for the first-ever Future Sound Awards, a showcase for AI-powered musicians.

Snacks:

  • Survived a near-fatal AVM brain bleed at 17, spent 3 years in recovery

  • Writes rap-influenced lyrics under the name Beat The Odds (BTO)

  • Frustrated by his changed voice, turned to AI to sing the way he imagined

  • Track “AI Gave Me A Voice” is now award-nominated

  • He joins a global shortlist of 15 AI-powered artists

Why it Bites: AI music isn’t only about fake Drake or resurecting Tupac from the dead.

If you let it, it’s about AI lowering barriers for people who never had a shot at the mic.

“Lowering The Mic”

On Monday, we told you about full-on AI bands signing record deals.

Last month, we covered the woman who spoke again after 18 years of silence.

Lucas’s story connects the dots:
AI isn’t just replacing voices, it’s restoring them.

And in the process, rewriting who gets to be heard.

They’re a private company, but Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker “$PCSO.”

No surprise the same firms that backed Uber, eBay, and Venmo already invested in Pacaso. What is unique is Pacaso is giving the same opportunity to everyday investors. And 10,000+ people have already joined them.

Created a former Zillow exec who sold his first venture for $120M, Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home industry.

They’ve generated $1B+ worth of luxury home transactions across 2,000+ owners. That’s good for more than $110M in gross profit since inception, including 41% YoY growth last year alone.

And you can join them today for just $2.90/share. But don’t wait too long. Invest in Pacaso before the opportunity ends September 18.

Paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.

xAI
🪜 Musk’s Escalator of Lawsuits

The Bite: Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI just sued ex-employee Xuechen Li, accusing him of stealing Grok trade secrets before jumping ship to OpenAI.

The suit claims Li copied files from a company laptop to personal devices, renamed and compressed them, then wiped his browser history.

Musk’s team says those secrets could give rivals like OpenAI a billion-dollar shortcut.

Really bro?

Snacks:

  • Li allegedly asked xAI to buy back ~$7M in stock before leaving

  • Lawsuit says he stole “cutting-edge” Grok tech, beyond ChatGPT

  • xAI wants him blocked from working at OpenAI (or anyone else)

  • Filing asks for seizure of his devices + cloud accounts

  • All this while AI firms dangle $250M packages to poach talent

Why it bites: AI’s biggest rivalry, ironically, is about people, not the AI models themselves.

Musk already sued OpenAI and Apple for monopolizing the AI market.

Now he’s suing his own former engineer.

This is what happens when talent becomes the scarcest resource:
the AI arms race looks less like innovation and more like a custody battle.
