Vibe Coding
♥️ Lovable Isn’t Sweating the Competition

The Bite: In a16z’s latest “Top 100 AI Apps,” vibe coding tools showed up in force.

One of the loudest names in the mix? Sweden’s Lovable.

The company just hit $100M ARR in eight months, raised a $200M Series A, and rocketed to a $1.8B valuation.

CEO Anton Osika says he’s not worried about competition.

Why?
Because Lovable is pitching itself as the place where founders can build entire AI-native companies, not just a cool demo app.

(PS: They aren’t the only one’s saying this…)

Snacks:

  • Lovable = vibe-coding standout, helps non-coders build full products

  • Hit $100M ARR in 8 months, $200M Series A at $1.8B valuation

  • 2.3M active users with 180K paying subs

  • Platform now has agents for debugging, web search, file handling, image gen

  • Runs on Claude + GPT-5, giving it flexibility vs model-native rivals

  • Backed by top European angels (Klarna’s CEO, Revolut’s CEO) + Nordic VCs

Why it Bites: Six months ago, vibe coding felt like a quirky category.

Today, it’s giving arms race meets gold rush vibes.

Lovable’s breakout shows that it’s not just about making side-project apps.

It’s about giving founders an on-ramp to build serious companies without touching a line of code.

Depending on who you are, every Loveable or Replit clone still feels like only a “demo-builder.”

Loveables server and hosting integration is how they are trying to stand out.

If the trend sticks, “write business plan, paste prompt” could be the new way startups are born.

The Key to a $1.3 Trillion Opportunity

A new trend in real estate is making the most expensive properties obtainable. It’s called co-ownership, and it’s revolutionizing the $1.3T vacation home market.

The company leading the trend? Pacaso. Created by the founder behind a $120M prior exit, Pacaso turns underutilized luxury properties into fully-managed assets and makes them accessible to the broadest possible market.

The result? More than $1B in transactions and service fees, 2,000+ happy homeowners, and over $110m in gross profit to date for Pacaso.

With rapid international growth and 41% gross profit growth last year alone, Pacaso is hitting their stride. They even recently reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

The same VCs that backed Uber, eBay, and Venmo also backed Pacaso. Join them as a Pacaso shareholder before the opportunity ends September 18.

AI + Robotics
🤖 Runway’s Next Act: Teaching Robots With Hollywood AI

The Bite: Runway started as the cool kid of AI video and with their recent viral hit, Aleph, is still positioned as a leader in that domain.

Now it’s aiming at an unlikely sequel: robotics.

Companies training self-driving cars and factory bots are lining up to use Runway’s “world models” to simulate reality.

Snacks:

  • Runway proved its world models could render realistic video

  • Robotics & AV firms want those same models for training simulations

  • Real-world training is costly and messy; simulations are faster and scalable

  • Nvidia is pushing a rival platform, Cosmos, for robot world models

  • Runway raised $500M+ from Nvidia, Google, General Atlantic; valued at $3B

  • A new dedicated robotics team is forming inside Runway

Why it bites: The real money in AI video might not be viral clips, but in realistic simulations.

If Runway nails the pivot, it stops being “that artsy AI startup” and becomes a platform for training every robot that moves through the world.

Entertainment was just the demo.
Robotics is the recurring subscription.
