Grok 3, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, has been throwing some serious shade—at him, Trump, and even Putin.

Users discovered that it labeled Musk as an untrustworthy misinformation spreader, called Trump a threat to democracy, and even recommended him for the death penalty (yikes). After a quick PR cleanup, X employees tweaked Grok’s system prompt, muting discussions on capital punishment. This issue is Grok’s willingness to take strong political stances, which runs counter to Musk’s “free speech” narrative.

Now, everyone’s betting on whether Musk lets his AI keep talking or pulls the plug.
